Dame-xecutive movement: How Patience Jonathan’s departure kept planes grounded for hours in Rivers


There might be enough space in the sky for all to fly but First Lady, Patience Jonathan, had no intention of sharing.
Nigeria’s number one woman recently went to Rivers State for the burial of her mother, Charity Oba, who died in a car accident. According to reports, when it was time for Dame Jonathan to return to Abuja, the airspace was ordered to be shut for four hours.

According to Punch, the police in Ogun have arrested a 30-year-old panel beater, Wasiu Yusuf, for allegedly stabbing his friend, Adeolu Olatoye, to death in Abeokuta. Another suspect in the alleged killing of the 32-year-old graphic artist, Mukaila Popoola, is currently on the run.

The suspect’s wife, 26-year-old Busayo, is also in detention at the Adatan Police Station. The victim, the suspect and his alleged accomplice lived in the same premises before the incident. Our correspondent gathered that Adeolu was allegedly killed by Yusuf and his accomplice in their residence in the Oke-Efon area of Abeokuta for allegedly having an affair with his wife.
